‘Harlem Children’s Zone Breaks Poverty Pattern’

Dear Readers,

I tuned into NPR’s ‘Talk of the Nation’ this afternoon to hear about the success stories from the Harlem Children’s Zone.  CEO of Harlem Children’s, Geoffrey Canada, was letting the nation know “what’s working” with the kids in Harlem.  They might not have all the answers and solutions to many of the issues Black families and communities encounter daily – but it’s great to hear the achievements and what still needs to happen in order to insure that all children, regardless of ethno-cultural background and financial status, have the socio-economic tools to succeed.
