Obama Administration and the Middle East Peace Process

“There’s never a right situation for peace in the Middle East”

Today on C-Span, a group of former U.S.  ambassadors to the Middle East shared their views on strong policy initiatives and concrete strategies that are needed to further the process towards peace between Israel and Palestine.

Some issues discussed:

  • a need for strong policy& strategy
  • a need for very strong American measures
  • an active involved American interest
  • a clear articulation of American views
  • bringing the Arab would into the Israel/Palestinian peacemaking process
  • a need to start dialogue among the two communities: the refugee community among Palestinians and the Israel communities
