The Callie Crossley Show recently interviewed the CEO of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, and Jeremy Crisp from NAIL, a Providence based advertising agency. Food banks in the US have been hit hard due the high unemployment rates and the recession. As a consequence, more individuals and families are reaching out for food assistance.
The Nothing Campaign, is simply and reminds people of the community efforts of giving. The Campaign encourages advocacy, to make sure Congress continues to fund food aid programs. And reaches out to younger generations to volunteer at their local food bank or community outreach center; who will eventually become future donors to sustain the ongoing efforts of eliminating hunger.
So, check out the Campaign. Prehaps it can someday be used as a model for other cities and towns to better tackle the hunger challenge.
